I began martial arts training in March 1984, under Tom Smith (6th Dan) and Tom Foley (2nd Dan). In 1986, I attended my first tournament (The King Cobra Tournament in Erie, PA) and many more since then, becoming a state champion and nationally ranked competitor. In the early 1990's, I competed in full contact kickboxing (record 3-1). After obtaining my black belt, I began training in many other styles and weapons, achieving much success. In the late 2000's, I coached and trained MMA fighters that would become pros. Also, at that time, I became a certified training instructor by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. I was inducted into the King Cobra Black Belt Hall Of Fame as a gold member. I have had the honor and privilege to train with and learn from many masters and professionals from many disciplines and walks of life. I still continue to learn everyday. My current rank: 4th Dan
