Description
Traditional based Korean Tae Kwon Do integrating Aikido, Jui Jitsu, Muay Thai, Judo and law enforcement self-defense tactics. Over 30 years of Martial Arts experience. Former state champion and nationally ranked competitor. Former OPOTA Certified Training Instructor.
Rules and Regulations
Martial Arts is about discipline and respect. If you or anyone entering this facility does not follow the posted rules and regulations, there will be consequences up to but not limited to dismissal.
Required waiver forms must be completed to participate.
Respect instructor, fellow students, and yourself at all times.
Monthly Fees are due the 15th of every month, after the 15th a $5.00 per class late fee will be assessed. NO REFUNDS!!
Check or money order may be made payable to Christopher McLaughlin.
Permitted attire Clean sweat pants, gym shorts (loose fitting/fingertip length), tee shirt (no insulting language or prints, must be plain or martial arts oriented). No cutoff shirts or jean shorts.
After 3 months and before belt rank test it is required that you purchase through the instructor a uniform consisting of black GI pants, black GI jacket, and rank belt.
Competition GI may be purchase from the instructor at an additional cost.
No swearing or negative language, horseplaying, running, teasing, name calling, or loud unnecessary noises.
No destructive behavior this includes property damage whether it's your or someone else's. No theft.
Beverages must have releasable lids. Absolutely no shoes, drinks, or food on mats! Approved footwear only!
No alcohol, tobacco, or drugs on premises.
No firearms or weapons of any kind on premises unless used for martial arts practice and they must be approved by the instructor.
No responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
Sparring- Sportsmanship will be observed at all times. No unsupervised or unsanctioned sparring will be permitted.
Required gear to be worn and purchased through the instructor. Foam dipped hand pads, foam dipped foot pads, mouth guard, foam dipped head (optional face guard), (males only-groin cup)
Additional optional gear at additional cost: chest protector, shin guards, face guard.
Contact- All techniques are to be controlled. Light contact to the head gear (light meaning does not cause head to move)
No strikes to the spine or specific joints.
Advanced yellow and above only may use leg sweeps or foot trips to be at the base of the foot, not above the ankle.
We are here to teach and to learn from one another. If you are found to be overly aggressive or attempting to intentionally hurt anyone. Expect consequences for your actions up to, not limited to dismissal. NO REFUNDS!
School age students must maintain passing grades in school to participate.
